影片的開頭，我想從一趟「離開」開始。離開遊人如織的京都心臟地帶，搭上搖搖晃晃的巴士，向著北方的山間駛去。窗外的景色，從精緻的町家，漸漸被開闊的田園與蒼翠的山巒取代。
空氣裡，有著雨後泥土的清新和植物的芬芳，這趟旅程的目的地，是那座安坐於寧靜山谷中的千年古寺——大原三千院。我刻意選擇了這個時節，一個櫻花季的尾聲，與夏日濃綠的序曲交會的短暫瞬間。我想到那裡，去親眼見證一場最溫柔的季節交接。
從「大原」巴士站下車，沿著呂川（ろがわ）清澈的溪水聲，我們踏上了通往三千院的參道。
這裡沒有城市的喧囂，只有高聳的北山杉靜靜佇立，陽光透過它們的枝葉縫隙，篩落成一片片溫柔的光斑，灑在古老的石板路上。
兩旁是販售著紫蘇漬物（しば漬け）的古樸店家，空氣中瀰漫著一股安詳而懷舊的氣息。這條路，本身就是一場心靈的洗滌，每一步，都讓我們離塵世更遠，離寧靜更近。
順著路徑深入，我們便走入了三千院的靈魂之地——「有清園」。
這裡的青苔，不再是平整的地毯，而是化為一片廣闊起伏的綠色海洋，溫柔地包裹住巨大的杉樹根部與古老的岩石。陽光穿透高聳的樹冠，形成無數道聖潔的光束，日語中稱之為「木漏れ日」。
在這片綠色仙境的中央，靜靜坐落著寺院最古老的建築——往生極樂院。殿內供奉的國寶「阿彌陀三尊像」，以獨特的「大和坐」姿態微微前傾，彷彿隨時準備起身，走向前來祈禱的眾生，給予他們最溫柔的撫慰。千年的慈悲，就凝結在這片永恆的綠意之中。
在這片深邃的綠色海洋中，還藏著許多可愛的驚喜。那就是隱身在各個角落的「童地藏」（わらべ地蔵）。
他們有的歪著頭、有的在青苔中酣睡、有的互相依偎，表情各異，純真可愛。他們的存在，為這座莊嚴的千年古剎，注入了一股溫暖與童趣的暖流。在廣大的庭園中，低頭尋找這些俏皮的小小守護者，成了一場充滿樂趣的尋寶遊戲，也讓人不自覺地放慢腳步，更仔細地去感受這片土地的每一寸細節。
I want to begin this film with a departure. Leaving the bustling heart of Kyoto, crowded with tourists, I boarded a gently swaying bus heading towards the northern mountains. The scenery outside the window gradually shifted from exquisite machiya townhouses to open fields and verdant mountains.
The air, fresh with the scent of rain-soaked earth and plants, guided me to my destination: the thousand-year-old temple nestled in a quiet valley, Ohara Sanzen-in. I deliberately chose this specific time—a fleeting moment where the end of the cherry blossom season meets the prelude to summer’s deep green. I wanted to go there to witness firsthand the most gentle changing of seasonal guards.
After getting off at the “Ohara” bus stop, we walked along the temple path, or sandō, guided by the clear sound of the Rokawa River. There is no urban clamor here, only towering Kitayama cedar trees standing in silence. Sunlight filters through their branches, casting gentle, dappled light upon the ancient stone path. Lining the way are rustic shops selling shibazuke, a local pickle made with purple shiso, filling the air with a peaceful and nostalgic aroma. This path itself is a spiritual cleansing; each step takes us further from the mundane world and closer to tranquility.
Following the path deeper, we entered the spiritual heart of Sanzen-in: the “Yuseien” garden. Here, the moss is no longer a flat carpet but a vast, undulating green ocean, gently blanketing the massive roots of cedar trees and ancient rocks. Sunlight pierces through the high canopy, creating countless sacred beams of light, known in Japanese as komorebi.
In the center of this green wonderland sits the temple’s oldest structure, the Ojo Gokuraku-in hall. Inside, the national treasure Amida Triad sits in a unique forward-leaning posture called Yamato-zauri, as if ready to stand at any moment to approach worshippers and offer them the gentlest comfort. A thousand years of compassion is crystallized within this eternal green.
Within this profound green ocean, many delightful surprises are hidden. These are the Warabe Jizo (child Jizo statues), concealed in various corners. Some tilt their heads, some doze peacefully in the moss, and others huddle together, each with a unique, innocent, and charming expression. Their presence infuses the solemn, ancient temple with a stream of warmth and childlike fun.
Searching for these playful little guardians in the vast garden becomes a delightful treasure hunt, encouraging one to slow down and appreciate every detail of this sacred ground.
この深い緑の海には、愛らしいサプライズも隠されています。あちこちに佇む「わらべ地蔵」です。首をかしげたり、苔の中で気持ちよさそうに眠っていたり、仲良く寄り添っていたり。その表情は様々で、無邪気で愛らしいです。彼らの存在は、この荘厳な千年の古刹に、温かみと童心を吹き込んでいます。
広大な庭園で、このいたずら好きな小さな守護者たちを探すことは、楽しい宝探しのようであり、自然と歩みを緩め、この土地の隅々までを丁寧に感じさせてくれます。
この映像の始まりは、ひとつの「出発」から始めたいと思います。観光客で賑わう京都市内を離れ、揺れるバスに乗り、北の山間へ。車窓の景色は、精緻な町家から、次第に広大な田園と青々とした山々に変わっていきます。
雨上がりの土の匂いと植物の香りが混じる空気。この旅の目的地は、静かな山里に佇む千年の古刹——大原三千院です。私がこの時季を選んだのには理由があります。それは、桜の季節の終わりと、夏の深い緑の序曲が交差する、ほんの束の間の瞬間。そこで、最も優しい季節の引き継ぎを、この目で見届けたかったのです。
「大原」バス停で降り、呂川（ろがわ）の澄んだせせらぎに導かれ、三千院へと続く参道を歩みます。ここには都会の喧騒はなく、そびえ立つ北山杉が静かに佇むばかり。木々の隙間から差し込む陽光は、古い石畳の上に、優しい光の斑点を落とします。道沿いには、名物の「しば漬け」を売る古民家のお店が並び、空気は穏やかで懐かしい香りに満ちています。
この道自体が、心を清める儀式のよう。一歩進むごとに、俗世から遠ざかり、静寂へと近づいていくのです。
順路に沿ってさらに奥へ進むと、三千院の魂とも言える場所、「有清園（ゆうせいえん）」へと入ります。
ここの苔は、もはや平坦な絨毯ではなく、広大で起伏に富んだ緑の海のよう。巨大な杉の根や古い岩を優しく包み込んでいます。高くそびえる木々の梢から差し込む光は、無数の神聖な光の筋となり、日本語で「木漏れ日」と呼ばれます。
この緑の仙境の中心に、境内最古の建物である「往生極楽院」が静かに佇んでいます。堂内に安置されている国宝「阿弥陀三尊像」は、独特の「大和坐り」という姿勢でわずかに前傾し、まるでいつでも立ち上がって、祈りを捧げる人々の元へ歩み寄り、優しい慰めを与えようとしているかのようです。千年の慈悲が、この永遠の緑の中に凝縮されているのです。
